A report compiled by Christian Aid using data published by governments, banks and insurance companies has quantified the financial impact that climate change is beginning to have on countries around the world.
Professor of Atmospheric Science, Michael Mann, says that only a reduction in global carbon emissions can halt the escalating damage to communities, financial institutions and our environment.
